We’re a proud family-run business with a lifelong love of animals at our heart. Every member of our family has grown up caring for pets, and with five dogs of our own — including two senior (OAP) British Bulldogs — we understand first-hand the joys and challenges of dog ownership at every life stage.

As our older dogs began to struggle with arthritis, we searched for ways to keep them comfortable, active and happy. Swimming quickly stood out as the perfect low-impact exercise — gentle on joints but fantastic for strength, mobility and wellbeing. That simple need sparked a much bigger idea.

We then looked at our younger dogs, full of energy and mischief, and realised they needed something too — safe, stimulating play that would tire them out both physically and mentally. That’s when The Doggy Paddle Club truly began to take shape. What started as a plan for a swimming pool soon evolved into a full indoor activity centre, bringing together water fun, play sessions and enrichment experiences all under one roof.

In 2026, that vision became reality with the opening of our dedicated dog activity centre — a place designed by dog owners, for dogs and their people.

Alongside our sessions, we also create our own homemade treats, made with care using dog-friendly ingredients. And we’re excited to be launching something a little different soon — the area’s first dog-friendly brunch and afternoon tea experience, where owners can relax while their pups enjoy their own special treats.

Everything we do is inspired by our own dogs and a genuine passion for helping others give their pets happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.
